Fanart ideas, if you ever feel inclined ;) [link]

... friends... I have become a TROLL. :iconsuccessfultrollplz:

A certain someone who will remain nameless (aw hell, it was =Jinzouki, blame him) gave me the link to Encyclopedia Dramatica a week or two ago in an IM conversation. I had encountered ED before, writing it off as an archive of the armpit of the Internet. But then I looked up the pages of more and more troll targets, and was aghast at the sheer stupidity the victims exhibited. The sheer arrogance in the face of honest, constructive criticism, the outrageous attempts at lying, the rampant hypocracy... and worst of all, this was happening right in my own e-backyard. That's right. DeviantArt.

My inner crusader was awakened and enraged. I could not merely sit and watch, I had to DO something! Thus, I found a particular chump (who will remain nameless, partly because I don't want to inflame the trolling and partly because said chump is convinced pageviews validate the worth of his art (seriously, look at him apply at ConceptArt, which is the hangout for CAREER artists, right here: [link] )) and took a few shots. Nothing severe, though it DID earn me some free fanart (which got deleted, alas).

Nonetheless, this is my only account and the BanHammer of deviantArt is... fickle, to put it charitably. Thus, I think I'm going to lay off the trolling and instead reflect at how lucky I am. Lucky to have a large circle of great people with great art where I can frolic in, away from the attention whores, the egotists, the egotistical attention whores, and other morons who give dA such a bad reputation. In short, I fucking love you guys

:megaphone: IN OTHER NEWS...

Right now my computer is still without Microsoft Word, and thus my writing is still on hold because I am a fussy bastard. But there's a great short, action-packed story that's trying to claw its way out of my skull chestburster-style, so I am suitably motivated to change that (It's also going to be a belated birthday gift for ~buckeyestar too, but don't tell him that!).

For Father's Day I got my dad something a smidge out of the ordinary: a copy of BioShock for PC. Dad's never been a gamer, but he mentioned awhile ago that BioShock caught his eye. Plus I figure the deep, elaborate storytelling in BioShock makes it a lot more appealing to an ex-English teacher than Space Marine Shooter #842, right?

Oh, and for those of you who don't watch my Scraps (despite my repeated insistences :evileye: ), I've posted a pair of photos in a small series I like to call Me With Awesome People. So if you've ever wanted to see the man behind Wolverine's unrelenting batch, go take a look.

OBLIGATORY CELEB OBITUARY SECTION:
People die all the time. We all know this and we all have to deal with it.

But yeah, upon hearing about Jacko's passing, I thought to myself "Self, if you weren't such a dolt and knew more about MUGEN, you could make a video of MJ's hilariously overpowered character from Moonwalker defeating 100 opponents, then post it on YouTube as a tribute vid."

Then a friend gave me a link that was so full of awesome, it was like staring into the face of a god. Words fail to describe it. Go watch, if ye be brave enough: [link]

I can't believe anyone on ConceptArt.org took that guy seriously at all. I wouldn't have wasted the energy typing on a forum post with art like that. Letting the thread fade into obscurity or just locking it would have been all the critique that guy needed.

Well, in any online group you have people who are compassionate enough to try and help whatever case walks through the door, no matter how hopeless it may seem. Once it was evident the kid was allergic to constructive critique and that he actually believed his 100,000 dA pageviews was qualification enough, you can see all sympathy evaporate, quickly followed by calls for him to :icongtfoplz:

The very fact that he mentioned the 100k hits makes me think he was just a troll trying to get a rise out of people in the beginning, and I'm sure the people of that forum thought the same thing.

Speaking of which, I've been meaning to post on CA for a while...I've always been a little intimidated by what I've heard about the way they crit on that site, but I also think that may be just what the doctor ordered.

Go for it, man! :iconcheerplz: That what does not kill you shall make you stronger... though it may cause uncomfortable bleeding and painful brusing for awhile. But still, stronger! :strong:

I'd say you arent much of a troll as you are bringer of truth and lulz :lmao: Just trying to help out somebody by showing him the error of his ways while trolling a bit, should snap him out of it, but some people just don't get it, and give out certain hats :dummy:
:iconjinzouki:
As for making you a trolll:
:iconjustasplannedplz::iconsaysplz: Just as planned

:lmao:

So you gazed into the pits of despair that many have seen out of curiosity but few ever try to take a second peek. XD

Pretty much. I thought ED was a pit of assholery and nastiness before, but after visiting again, I learned something: That ED is VERY much a pit of assholery and nastiness, but more often than not its victims bloody well deserve it.
